The Harrison family has been in the truck sales and service business since the late ’60s when Stan Harrison operated Trans-Iowa Equipment, Inc., a truck equipment body builder and Oshkosh Truck dealership. Sons Brian and Chad first worked for their father’s business shortly after graduating from high school, then later gained valuable experience with careers elsewhere in the automotive field. In 1997, the Harrison family acquired Cedar Valley Freightliner of Waterloo, Iowa. Brian was named president and CEO and Chad became vice president, positions the two brothers still hold today. In 2006, the Harrisons sold Trans-Iowa Equipment and dedicated their energies to growing their Freightliner business. With the acquisition of four Westman Freightliner dealerships in southern Minnesota, the company now totals nearly 400 associates and is poised to serve the truck needs of the upper Midwest like never before.
